Once again, our holiday cocktail challenge attracted an assortment of entries:
- Bevo-rage – Matt & Julie Christensen
- In honor of The University of Texas winning the Big 12 Championship, we created the Bevo-rage. Made with Texas bourbon, an orange peel simple syrup, chocolate bitters and then smoked with pecan chips to give it that special Texas flare. Served over ice with a “burnt” orange peel as garnish. After a sip of this stuff, Gabriel will surely blow his horn in delight.
- Strudel Nog – Andy & Rebecca Tait
- With comforting notes of spiced apples blending with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of brown sugar—all the flavors of a homemade strudel. A traditional eggnog spiked with apple-flavored moonshine, Fireball for cinnamon, and Coronado Rompope Liqueur for a touch of vanilla. Strudel Nog is the drinkable dessert you didn’t know you needed!
- Merry Mistletoe Kiss – Matthew Hayward & Melissa Tidwell
- Nothing says cozy like mistletoe during the holidays! This bright, refreshing cocktail tastes as beautiful as it looks. The lemon juice adds a cloudy, misty background to set off fresh rosemary and cranberries. The rosemary-infused simple syrup balances citrus notes and the star of the show, Tito’s vodka.
- Tis the Tiramiseason – Jack Sweeney
- Indulge in a taste of Italy with the decadent delight of tiramisu eggnog, which feels like a warm Italian embrace. Tis the Tiramiseason features coffee-dipped ladyfingers, a creamy mascarpone custard balanced by a whisper of vanilla, lightly sweetened whipped cream, and each cup gently dusted with cocoa powder like a sweet, velvety snowfall.
