This syrup was born from the comforting rituals of the colder months—pots simmering on the stove, the air perfumed with spice, and evergreen notes drifting through the kitchen. By gently steeping classic mulling spices with fresh rosemary, this simple syrup captures the essence of the holidays in a single pourable compound, designed to bring warmth and character to everything it touches.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 c of water

  • 1 c granulated sugar or cane sugar

  • 1-2 oz mulling spices

  • 2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary

Directions

  • Put water and mulling spice in a saucepan and heat until boiling
  • Add the sugar and stir until dissolved
  • Add in the rosemary and continue stirring for 1-2 minutes
  • Remove from heat and let steep for at least 1 hour as the mixture cools
  • Strain into a container
  • Use and enjoy!

Notes

  • Keep refrigerated after using
